Getting Silly Old

In truth, I am getting old. But I don’t have to act like it!

As children, we were told to act more mature than our years. As adults, we were told to act our age. As elders, we should act younger than our age.  It’s a logical progression, and way more fun.

We have the self-knowledge and self-confidence to act as silly as we like! Who’s to stop us? Who cares, anyway? There are wonderful stories with crazy grandmas as heroines, loco grandpas as wisened philosophers.

I myself have always wanted to be an eccentric old man, laughing in the face of adversity, playing with children as one of them, not acting my age.

Now it’s my turn!
