In order to steel oneself to the harshness of life, one must accept that there are #%* jerks. They abound.
It’s unsettling. I don’t like to argue or fight. I carry the disturbance with me for hours, sometimes for days.
Yet we can’t let them run over us either. Thus, we must steel ourselves, harden our defenses, our resolve. We must accept that there are those who take advantage, who are incompetent, greedy, unethical.
Dismiss them as well as we can. Shake ’em off. It isn’t our fault. In the world, there just are #%* jerks. Walk away.
