Where You Are

Reading the travel section in the paper, I see an event at a Sierra ski mountain: “Greet Summer with a Last Snow Run!” Ah, that would be fun! I wish I had the time and money to go – to this, and so many events.

If I were wealthy and not tied to a job, I still couldn’t do all those things. More, certainly — but not all for which I had the appetite. I’d have to choose, select, limit – even then.

So now, I work, I worry, I busy myself with a million too many things. Yet I can still find interesting things to do, moments in which to appreciate the natural beauty of the world, the touching humanity of kindness and love.

Find them, and wherever you are is just where you need to be. The moment is right there, right here. You’re in it. Behold!
